The new TaylorMade Tour Burner Irons look the ultimate in forgiveness and with the highest MOI measurements of any TaylorMade iron in their range these could be the mid to high handicappers irons of choice in 2009.
The extreme playability achieved with these irons is derived from TaylorMade’s Inverted Cone Technology that helps to expand the size of the clubface and enhance forgiveness on those off centre shots.
These new Burner irons have a medium top line and an intermediate offset which means that these clubs will be appealing to a wide range of golfers. Often large soled clubs have a fat top line, which is very uncomfortable to a lot of golfers at address. The intermediate offset means there should be some extra workability on the scoring irons which traditionally these types of clubs have lacked.
Overall these new irons sound very impressive and seem to have taken the traditional fat soled irons and added a couple of finishing touches which may set them apart form the rest.
