Puma Tour Saddle

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

pg.bmpWith Spring hopefully fast approaching its time to start thinking about a new set of golf shoes once again. This year once again it appears Puma are setting the trends, especially with these new Tour Saddle Golf Shoes.

I was a fan of the old Tour Saddle PG shoes as I like their modern style and sleek design, and Puma haven’t disappointed with their new range.

A combination of water resistant synthetic leather and water resistant nubuck. Solid rubber sole with 8 replaceable Champ Stinger Spikes these Tour Saddles once again provide a fresh modern perspective on a traditional golf silhouette with a Puma twist.

Puma Tour Saddle 2008

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

puma-saddle.bmpI think you could be forgiven for thinking I’m working for Puma these days the amount of posts I seem to be writing about their new range of 2008 shoes… but I picked up a pair of these Tour Saddle shoes over the weekend and just had to write something about them. Once again they are a fantastic looking shoe and they feel just as great on, I know they are not very traditional looking but with summer hopefully fast approaching I love to get trainer style shoes on with a pair of shorts.

Another reason these shoes stood out is that the Champ Scorpion Spikes come with ‘street caps’ that actually replace the spikes and instantly turn them into trainers! Cant wait to get these beauties on the course, now all we need is some sunshine!

New Puma Swing GTX golf shoes

Sunday, March 16th, 2008

Swing GTXIt has to be said I am fast becoming a fan of the latest range of Puma golf shoes which have been released in 2008. These are the new Swing GTX shoes which not unlike the Puma Leere shoes have drawn their inspiration for a traditional 50’s design with some modern colours and style.

The new Swing GTX have been built with Puma’s new Smart Quill technology which means each quill has been moudler and positioned to give the ultimate traction whilst swinging the golf club.

These shoes once again look great and the green line on this example looks really stylish and tasteful. These shoes are a little more expensive than the equally beautiful Leere shoes at £130 but their great looks and Puma’s claim that these are ‘the’ best performance golf shoe on the market means they could be worth the few extra pounds!

FootJoy DryJoy’s

Monday, February 25th, 2008

DryJoys 2008FootJoy recently introduced the new 2008 DryJoys and as expected they look fantastic. The DryJoys have been the market leader, a benchmark in waterproof protection for all other shoes since 1989 and their latest offering looks to be continuing with their reputation.

These latest shoes offer seven individual stability PODS on the outer sole and enhanced OptiFlex zones resulting in breakthrough ‘Flex ability’ (stability achieved through maximum flex ability). FootJoy claim that these versatile flex points will allow more of the shoe to maintain contact with the ground throughout the swing resulting in better stability and control thus allowing the golfer to perform at their best whilst enjoying their trademark unrivalled comfort.

Without doubt FootJoy is one of, if not the biggest and best selling golf shoe in modern golf, and when you have such a reputation behind a brand you can be sure your buying into quality. These DryJoys are certainly no exception; they look fantastic and are extremely comfortable to wear.

They are retailing at around £110 but I have found them for £90 from Direct-Golf.

Puma Leere Golf Shoes

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

Puma LeereLooking for something a little different but keeping a traditional style? These Puma Leere golf shoes are a modern twist on a classic traditional style and I think they look awesome. The extravagant Kiltie is removable but I think this is so iconic of the golfing legends of the 50’s it has a style of its own!

Puma are offering a two-year waterproof guarantee and the new Champ Scorpion Stinger spikes and a full upper of full grain leather.

Cheapest I have found is £99 via Trendy Golf

J Lindeberg Classics

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

JL CLassicsIt was a sad day at the weekend when I decided to replace my Adidas Tour 360 shoes. They have been an outstanding pair of shoes that haven’t let me down once since I’ve had them. However out with the old and in with the new… I went to the local pro shop and by far these J. Lindeberg Classics were the best looking shoes on the racks. They not only look great but they are so comfy too, this picture does not do them justice and they just look like such a quality shoe on.

The JL Classics have taken on a classic appearance and added some style and sophistication that has resulted in a truly striking shoe. I have got them in black and white but they are also available in all black which look just as great. They come with two sets of changeable CHAMP stinger soft studs and not a bad price at just £130.

Adidas Tour 360 II

Thursday, April 5th, 2007

Adidas have unveiled the new Adidas Tour 360 II. I currently use and swear by the original 360 Tours so I am very excited to see they have upgraded into a new model.

The 360 II have a new 360WRAP+ which now surrounds the foot for an ‘ultra-stable’ hitting platform. They have introduced new upgraded 3D FitFoam for extra comfort and a custom fit. A lightweight EVA midsole with adiPRENE cushioning and a new split outsole design with Traxion and anti-clog TPU. The 360 Tour II also now comes with a two year waterproof warranty as apposed to just the one year on the old 360’s.

The 360 IIs are retailing for between £99 and £120 in the UK. The cheapest I have come accross was from elitegolfonline.co.uk at £90.

There is a whole new range of performance footwear now released from Adidas in the US have a look at the Adidas website for more details.

· Breathable mesh lining with comfort suede collar
