Ive always been a fan of Garcia ever since he emerged onto the golf scene, what I love most is the energy he puts into every shot and these swing videos below show just how he manages to get such distance. How he manages to break his wrists so late is just amazing to me, and something im going to practice down the range!!

Summer 09 is finally fast approaching and the new Hugo Boss range at Trendy Golf is in stock, and if the £150 price tag on this White Boss Zaramis Pro Zip Top doesn’t put you off then I haven’t seen a better example of this summers must have range.

The zip top has the Hugo Boss tour logo on front, back and side shoulder which looks great and with Hugo Boss emerging as a top golf brand with their new Tour range then their 09 collection is well worth checking out.

Wondering how you go about getting your hands on some 2010 Ryder Cup Tickets? Well I was and the Ryder Cup website had this information;

“Details of the ticket ballot and application process will be posted on The Ryder Cup and European Tour websites when the details are finalised.”

“Tickets to the 2010 Ryder Cup will be available through a random lottery draw. Registration for the ballot is scheduled to start from March or April 2009 with the ballot closing in August 2009. The procedure for entering the draw will be well advertised on both europeantour.com and rydercup.com, as well as other media channels and will be done over a period of several weeks to allow everyone a fair chance of securing tickets. There is no pre-registration process at this time.”

So if your keen like I am then keep an eye open on the Ryder Cup and European Tour websites, as the 2010 Ryder Cup is going to be a classic and definitely not one to be missed!!

With Spring hopefully fast approaching its time to start thinking about a new set of golf shoes once again. This year once again it appears Puma are setting the trends, especially with these new Tour Saddle Golf Shoes.

Now I’m a big fan of the R7 range and needless to say that I’m very much looking forward to the imminent release of the TaylorMade R9 Driver.

The new TaylorMade R9 will be fully adjustable, and will combine three moveable weights with a new Taylormade technology, called Flight Control Technology.

This TaylorMade R9 thereefore is following other driver manufacturers in making the club head adjustable into eight different positions, similar to the technology behind the new Nike SQ Dymo allowing you to promote a draw or fade, depending on your desired shot shape.

With the release date not until March I was quite surprised therefore to find someone has somehow managed to get their hands on one and kindly post a video on You Tube.

I’ve recently added a Titleist 503h 19-degree Hybrid to my bad to find the gap between the 5 wood and 3 iron. And after just one round with it I am truly impressed, the trajectory of the ball flight is noticeably lower than that of traditional hybrids/fairway woods, resulting in a longer more controllable shots shape.

The 503h was also really comfortable off the fairway; the club head is confidence inspiring at address with the thick bottom sole which so often is lost on lower irons resulting in most players resorting to a fairway wood.

If I had one criticism the 503h it wasn’t very forgiving on off centre shots, the sweet spot is much smaller than on traditional fairway woods. I think this club is aimed at the ‘better’ golfers with its less forgiving sweet spot. That being said as a 13 handicapper I found it a joy to use and am so glad I took a chance and picked one up!

I bought mine new off eBay for £50, so overall a great club at a bargain price!
