Galvin Green Joby Polo
Thursday, February 28th, 2008
This ‘Joby Shirt’ from Galvin Green is without doubt an amazing looking shirt.
The Coolmax fabric is fourteen times more breathable than a conventional cotton shirt. It has moisture-transporting properties that ensure that you remain cool and dry in the humid or hot conditions.
But more important than the technology is this is a great looking shirt, which is sure to turn a few heads with its striking colours and subtle patterns.

The Q-Link Necklace
Tuesday, February 26th, 2008
Surely this is a gimmick? I remember seeing these on a golf show in the summer and I thought that these Q-Link necklaces couldn’t really do what they claim to…. Could they?
The idea behind this is that the energy developed and sustained by the body can be drained and interrupted by external signals form electromagnetic system (mobiles/laptops etc). The Q-Link with a system of copper coils is supposed to respond by producing its own note that the body responds to positively.
So basically the Q-Link is a tuning fork designed to tune into the body’s frequency and repel the negative energies all around allowing you to perform at a higher level in all things of life.
Now I’m sure I can be excused for thinking this was nothing more than a gimmick aimed at making a few quick bucks but today, to my surprise, I came across it at a whopping £80. Now this has me intrigued, as surely at this price there must be some truth in there somewhere and this has to be more than a gimmick, but at £80 I’m not sure if I’m going to be the one to find out!!

FootJoy DryJoy’s
Monday, February 25th, 2008
FootJoy recently introduced the new 2008 DryJoys and as expected they look fantastic. The DryJoys have been the market leader, a benchmark in waterproof protection for all other shoes since 1989 and their latest offering looks to be continuing with their reputation.
These latest shoes offer seven individual stability PODS on the outer sole and enhanced OptiFlex zones resulting in breakthrough ‘Flex ability’ (stability achieved through maximum flex ability). FootJoy claim that these versatile flex points will allow more of the shoe to maintain contact with the ground throughout the swing resulting in better stability and control thus allowing the golfer to perform at their best whilst enjoying their trademark unrivalled comfort.
Without doubt FootJoy is one of, if not the biggest and best selling golf shoe in modern golf, and when you have such a reputation behind a brand you can be sure your buying into quality. These DryJoys are certainly no exception; they look fantastic and are extremely comfortable to wear.
They are retailing at around £110 but I have found them for £90 from Direct-Golf.
Lucky Lucky Tiger
Saturday, February 23rd, 2008Tiger Woods nearly lost his unbeaten record for 2008 as Australian Aaron Baddeley could of and should of knocked Tiger out of the WCG Match Play Championship.
Baddeley after a run of eight birdies in nine holes had a putt to win the match on the 18th and 19th hole but couldn’t finish off the world’s number 1. Tiger however showed his worth as he held a 10ft putt on the 20th hole to end the Australian’s dreams of progressing to the quarterfinals.
There was much disappointment for Europe as both Monty and Paul Casey were knocked out after loosing to Stewart Cink and K J Choi respectively. All eyes are now turned to defending champion Henrik Stenson to carry the flag.
Lets just hope the excitement continues after an amazing game of golf in the third round yesterday with the Woods vs Baddeley match proving to be one of the most exciting and interesting games for some time!

Nike Golf IC Putter
Thursday, February 21st, 2008
This is the new Nike IC Putter which intorduces revolutionary new optical engineering and design to help keep your eyes focused and result in greater accuracy and consistency.
By using a contrast of deep green and a contrasting bright alignment aid Nike Golf say this putter will draw your attention away from the putter head and shaft and focus on the putter face and ball allignment. The use of this dark green has been introduced from Nike Golf by working with their Optical Research Director to help gain a better understanding of the critical areas a golfer needs to focus on when alligning a putt.
There are five different styles to choose from so this new design is targeted at all golfers regardless of their putting preferences.
This new design by Nike could well prove revolutionary so I am certainly eager to give it a go and see for myself if this clever design will actually pay off on the green.

European Tour returns to England
Tuesday, February 19th, 2008It’s been a long time, (7 years actually) but The European Tour is finally returning to England where the London Golf Club in Kent will be hosting the tournament in July.
The London Golf Club usually hosts the London Senior masters but this is the first time the course has been selected for the main tour. The Last thirteen championships have been held at Ireland’s K Club which also hosted the 2006 Ryder Cup.

Odyssey White Hot XG Sabretooth Putter
Monday, February 18th, 2008
Without doubt this Odyssey XG Sabretooth putter is an eye turner. The design is reminiscent of the fearsome Sabertooth’s fangs but this new White Hot putter promises to be anything but.
The Sabre tooth’s technology means the high-density fangs move the weight to the sides, helping to keep putter alignment through the stroke whist the aiming channels inside the fangs make lining up putts a doddle. However the fearsome looks are certainly in contrast to the multi layer White Hot XG insert which is claimed by Odyssey to be the most popular and responsive insert yet, and will generate an incredibly soft feel with fine tuned responsiveness.
The Sabretooth is due to hit the shops in the UK around March so keep an eye out. The cheapest I have come across to pre-order is from 118 Golf at £120.
