im a 9 hcp, bought these club basicly because i've always wanted to turn the ball over more.huge mistake,at first they seemed ok (lots of distance) but once i kinda grooved my swing to the clubs their almost impossible to control the draw.so much for a 400.00 mistake-i've since put my clevelands back in the bag! better to suffer the ocaisonial push to the right than this torture

I had Taylor made RAC irons and got on with them quite well. However with my long irons i did have a bit of a slice,so i treated myself to a set of the r7 Draw irons...worst thing i ever did,now shank a lot of shots. My golf swing is shot to bits. I am sure the problem is me i am a high handicap golfer (19) and not the clubs. The moral of the story is before you buy any clubs make sure they suit your swing

These are very nice irons for high to mid handicap golfers, especially for golfers who slice. With all golf clubs it's give and take. While these irons may be forgiving which is perfect for some golfers, better golfers need control. And forgiving clubs loose the ability to control and shape shots. Example: If you need to slice the ball for a utility shot, it will be difficult with this club.

I found your blog via Google while searching for golf irons and your post regarding Taylor Made r7 Draw Irons looks very interesting to me. All I can say is WOW! Extremely nice layouts, awesome graphics and great articles. No matter how many times I come here, I am still impressed by the very professional appearance. Congratulations on a job well done.
