Signature Tees

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

Signature TeesSignature Tees have come up with what could be a very useful business, selling tees in bulk. Too often do I run out of tees and have to make a last minute purchase at the pro shop which is more than often very overpriced!

Signature Tees are offering discounts as a result from bulk ordering, for exampe 1,000 extra long wooden tees for just £18 and at 45p you can also get a resealable bag!

Check out signaturetees.biz for more details.

R/C Golf Incred-a-Ball

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

R/C Golf Incred-a-BallThis is the first remote controlled golf ball I have seen, I have seen the weighted balls which roll off at all angles but this ball is directonally controlled by a remote.

The R/C incred-a-ball works best on flat smooth surfaces such as greens and fairways and will be a sure laugh for those golfers who are not taking the game too seriously! At £12.95 is not too expensive and could be good for a crack if nothing else!

Skycaddie SG1 GPS Receiver

Wednesday, May 16th, 2007

Skycaddie SG1 GPS ReceiverThis is the Sky Caddie SG1, another piece of equipment which by the use of GPS can very accurately indicate the distance from the green you are standing. The device has been designed to be lightweight and compact and has derrived from the most up to date sattelite navigational technology.

At £129.99 form 118golf.co.uk it is expensive and to be honest probably only going to be in demand form either the very lazy, very stupid or the very rich golfer! But still with this sort of technology already in use on some golf buggy’s then who knows, maybe this will become the next big thing!!

Mickelson takes The Players Championship

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007

It was an impressive Phil Mickelson who netted over $1.6 million after winning The Players Championship at Sawgrass by two shots. Sergio Garcia finished second with an overall score of nine under par.

Mickelson shot a near perfect 69 on the last day with four birdies and just one bogey to hold onto his lead with Garcia closing in with an impressive final round 66. England’s Luke Donald put in a final score card of 74 and finished three under overall. The biggest turnaround was Tiger Woods who despite a final round of 67 still managed to end up 11 shots off the front of the pack.

TPC Sawgrass Day Two

Saturday, May 12th, 2007

PGAAt the end of day two its Phil Mickelson who leads this years Players Championship at Sawgrass by one shot. Only two British players have made the cut, with Ian Poulter (71) and Luke Donald (72) equal 38th with Padraig Harrington of Ireland (70) managed to stay in contention seven strokes off the lead.

Mickelson should have been further ahead of the pack at the end of day two however dropping three shots on the outward nine meant he fell behind Nathan Green before an eagle at the 16th pulled him back to a one shot lead. Another strange unfortunately for the world’s number one Tiger Woods with a one over par 73 leaving him some 9 shots off the lead leaving him just within the cut! Woods who has been on some fine form of late will be surprised with his current position but has struggled with the greens and is still to get to grips with the pace of these greens.

Other big name Brits to also fall short of the cut include Colin Montgomerie, with a 74 left him six over, and Paul Casey who had a six-over 78 to finish on 10 over.

Technasonic Check Go Ball Spinner

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007

The Check-GO, an ingenious gimmick or the answer to so many unexplained occurrences! The idea is that no golf ball is manufactured perfectly round; they are naturally, even without being hit lopsided! Believe that or not! The Check-GO therefore is the answer by realigning the ball by spinning it at an impressive 10,000 revolutions per minute evenly distributing the weight and shape of the ball itself.

This may well be a fantastic product but it may also be a fantastic gimmick! I’m not too sure but if the technology behind this is true then it sounds like a great piece of kit! However at only £24.95 I cant see the harm in giving it a go and see if it can save me those extra strokes!

SeeMore Golf FGP Putter Black

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007

The SeeMore putters system is an exactly what it does on the tin job; the idea is that you “see more” when lining up your putt. The putter provides a visual aid telling you if you are opening or closing the face of the putter by the use of a red dot, which immediately warns you if you are out of alignment.

The SeeMore putting system has become an established solution both to professional and amateur players alike. Not surprising then that this kind of technology made this the most played putter at the 2006 Ryder cup and was used by Zach Johnson in winning the 2007 Masters in Augusta.

The Black Stealth Blade features an aluminium and bronze finish providing a stylish look and with proven results seems a bargain at only £99.99.

Stromberg Golf Villa Sol Trousers Check

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007

Now you’re either going to love them or hate them, personally I love them! In my opinion the louder the better on the course, I came across these looking at some plus two’s on the Scottsdale golf website but my shopping basket soon had these added to it!

These Stromberg trousers are a little pricey at £49.99 but they look quality and have that summer feel about them. They are also available in a white and blue check which is equally as eye catching!

Also having looked for so long to find plus two’s they are also available for £39.99 upwards which im currently in two minds about but if nothing else they would be good for a crack!
