Vijay Singh takes the Bay Hill win after ending his frustration at coming runner up in the same competition on three previous occasions. Singh found himself in the lead having birdied four out of five holes in a row on the front nine.

Singh handed in a three under par 67 on the final day leaving him eight under overall allowing him to pick up his 31st PGA tour title.

Sergio Garcia was cream of the crop for the Europeans finishing in fifth place with a final round of 71; England’s Luke Donald managed only eight.

However the talk of the competition will surely be Tiger Woods who hit three consecutive bogeys including a double at the 17th and a triple bogey at the 18th leaving him tied 22nd shooting a final round of 76.
